Humoral Theory

The body is composed of five elements (aether, air, earth, fire or water). When these are in balance, then the body is well, imbalances lead to discomfort and illness.

The body's health depends on the balance of its five humours, but almost every person has a certain humoral leaning, which may be slight or strong. This is in part influenced by race, in part by individual heritage, and in part by one's birth sign.
