Each country has its own laws, of course. The large federations - the Magocratic Confederation, the Grand Kingdom of Clementia and the Cargan Empire - do have laws which hold for the entire land, but each principality/kingdom also have their own laws. Furthermore within every country, each duchy, county, barony and town have a separate legal body, though these do not usually conflict with the laws which hold true for the entire kingdom. It is wise to inquire about local laws before travelling to a previously unvisited area.
