Serendipius is somewhat taller than six feet, and willowy. He has pale white skin and dark red hair. He has a narrow face, prominent Greek nose, weak chin and high forehead. He has a long neck, short torso and long limbs, his hands are narrow and long-fingered.
Serendipius wears a green turban set with gold and ruby jewellry, and a peacock feather, a red jacket with ridiculously drooping sleeves ending in long ropes of cloth that trail behind him (the left one has been cut about a foot), and a lower edge cut into tapers. He wears a white silk tunic and a lacy white cravat. His feet are clad in knee-high boots of red leather, with pointy toes and peaked tops.
Serendipius speaks Frankish at an extremely varying level of proficiency, and with an apparently arbitrary accent.
Brother of Princess Roxanne, Serendipius seems the primus motor of the rescue effort, though he has shown more interest than ability.
Once one scratches his veneer of overbearing gentility, Serendipius shows a hair-trigger temper and a tendency to sulk.
