Knight of the Order of the Narwhale, Sorcerer of the Order of the Pyramid, Lord of Benry
Maurice is in his 20s, slightly above average height (lower than most of his nobleman peers) and with a tendency to slouch slightly. He has a normal build. Maurice has long blond hair and is usually clean shaven. He has regularly shaped, attractive features, and his eyes are green. Most often, he wears expensive robes.
Maurice comes across as a quiet (some would even say inscrutable) young man, generally of good cheer and with a somewhat laconic sense of humour.
The Comtet is originally from Algica, a member of the powerful Kyron family.
Comtet Maurice arrived in Avation in the spring of 6588, and proceeded to make a name for himself in the land. He helped thwart the Hellsailer attack on the Marquis of Millex's castle, thwarted an unholy cult in Benry, and finally rescued the Clemencian Infanta from the clutches of Faerie. For the latter deed he was received honourably by the Grand King himself, and later the Regent made him lord of Benry and a Knight of the Order of the Narwhale. His deeds are known throughout Avation.
Though Maurice is considered a hero, he is known to have kept the company of a large number of roguish characters, many of whom were of questionable sanity to boot. Furthermore, he is a known sorcerer, and a Confederate citizen. He is well liked, for a Confederate-born and a sorcerer, but not trusted.
Lately, Comtet Maurice has been interacting with the Fellowship, assisting them in Moize, and offering them cryptic warnings while alongside their ship in the Arina bay. In the latter case, he shared his bone-white boat with the brusque bundle known as Bimble.
