Shedu (angels, benevolent spirits): These beings come from the higher realms beyond the Hells, and many of them serve the gods who have residence there. Some annunaki hail from the Hells, these serve Ereshkigal. Such spirits are less often encountered than the utukki, and when they appear, it is usually as a deity's proxy or simply to combat utukki. It is said that the most virteous are incarnated as igigi or annunaki. Knowledge of this manner of creatures is Occultism (Angelology) (a mental/average skill)
Gallu (devils, hellspawn, malicious spirits): These beings are evil (not chaotic) and hail from the Hells, which is where all souls go to be judged before rebirth, and particularily vile souls are said to reincarnated there. Gallu are far older than humanity, far more powerful and by can best be described as extremely violent and sadistic. Fortunately for mortals, gallu cannot normally incarnate in the world of mortals unless summoned, though it is rumoured that they may possess living bodies, corpses or even items. Gallu encountered by mortals may be under the control of wizards, acting as proxies for the gods, or just simply be on a rampage of corruption and destruction. Knowledge of this manner of creatures is Occultism (Demonology) (a mental/average skill)
Beings from Chaos - these spirits are chaotic, (not evil) (see Creatures of Chaos). Some of them are as powerful as any daimon, but their savage and incomprehensible ways set them clearly apart.
