Sheersteel is a special iron isotope, whitish in colour, which can sometimes be mined from the deepest shafts of iron mines, but is usually created by the alchemically proficient. Sheersteel has even greater tensile strength than normal iron, and is also a powerful charm against magic.
Lead is used for all manners of things, water pipes being one of the more important. This metal also dampens magic, even stronger than iron, and sorcerers are customarily put in lead manacles.
