Gêgeneês are six-armed, eight-limbed hulks from one to three yards tall. A gêgeneê looks like a tall pile of dirt, somewhat conical, sculpted into the form of a man. Resting on two short, thick legs, more like pillar than like the legs of a man, the torso has three arms protruding from either side, and a conical head with no discernible neck resting on top. The head has neither eyes nor ears nor nose, only a stone-toothed slash for a mouth. Gêgeneês share the colour of the stone or earth of their habitat.
Gêgeneês are simple-minded, peaceful creatures. Most of the time, they simply seem to be standing around. They have no known society. Sometimes, they open their mouths and groan. A gégene can be roused to anger. In such a case, it will attempt to crush its enemy in its many-armed embrace. Faced with a more distant enemy, they lob rocks or boulders with surprising accuracy.
Some sorcerers bind gêgeneês into their service, using them much like automatons. They are less rebellious than other elementals, but exceedingly literal-minded.
