The radiations of Chaos can affect the native beings of Cosmos, twisting their minds and bodies into new and terrible shapes. Knowledge of these creatures is part of Teratology (a mental/hard skill).
The chimerae are living creatures who have been twisted by chaotic radiations. Originally, they may have been any sort of creature, tiny ant or gigantic dragon. They are easily recognizable by their very abnormal physiques and mystic abilities. Fortunately for other life-forms, most chimerae tend to die from inner disorder in short time, a few years at most.
Mooncalves are beings that were affected by chaos in the womb, and were born as mutants. Some are indistinguishable from normal beings on the outside, and mooncalves of the cultured races often hide their abnormalities with hats, cloaks, boots and gloves. Mooncalves often have unnatural complexions and hair colours, extra or fewer limbs, orfices or sense organs, or they may be have physical traits from other life forms. Mooncalves born from intelligent beings are usually slain at birth, or otherwise they are distrusted pariahs.
