Savage Lands
Savage lands is the collective term used to denominate lands not ruled by man, nor by elf or dwarf, nor even by goblins. Not under dominion by any race, these are wild, lawless realms. Such lands are found upriver between Parnarike and Daverûghaimar, and to the north and east of Parnarike.
Giants, trolls and dragons are the true masters of these lands, however, there are also other people living here. These include dwarven malcontents, fled from the mountains, Fraeging freeholds, savage tribes of goblins and Mawh and giant homesteads. No settlement aknowledges any authority beyond its leader's, if it has one. While most of such settlements are most happy to see visitors, the majority is liable to kill them if there is any profit in it (all except the Fraegings are said to eat their prey, and not all Fraegings are free of suspicion, either).
Wild Parnland - The land along the river Parnar is perhaps the least inhospitable. It is mostly dense forest, parts is marshy and watersick.
The Trollwood - This is the second greatest forest of the continent, and nearly as dangerous as the greatest (the Great Elfwood). In this forest, the danger is very real and earthly, it comes with gnashing jaws out of the underbush, in the form of trolls and lindwyrms. Goblin tribes string their bows in these woods, giants stride with swinging clubs, and pitiable Mawh eke out a miserable existence, trying to eat and not be eaten. The Trollwood is mostly coniferous, with some birch and other cold-resistant dedicious trees. The hunting here is good, with bear, elk and deer, but one soon becomes hunted rather than hunter.
The Boreal Coast - These are great stretches of tundra and marshland, where reindeer and wolves roam. Goblins, giants and Mawh dwell here, slaying each other wantonly.
