Western Logesia
Western Logesia forms the beating heart of the Confederacy. From nature's hand it is a salubrious realm, with long, warm summers and mild winters. The soil is fertile, and harvests of grain are more bountiful here than anywhere else in the Frankish lands.
However, the Civil War left a dark legacy in Western Logesia, which almost rivalled that of Decria - chaos zones, taints and restless spirits. Though the great majority of such problems have been cleared away, one is still reluctant to go outside after the fall of darkness. The limestone caverns found many places in Western Logesia are particularily feared.
Caranbar is Western Logesia's capital. The city is also the seat of the Senate, which governs the entire Confederation. In the Senate, various fractions of the sorcerers bicker and squabble over laws and policies. The city of Caranbar is built on and around a round, artificial hill. The hill is encircled by a river, which also runs straight through the middle of it, dividing the inner city in two. Many bridges span the middle fissure. The fissure itself is Caranbar's entertainment area. By buereaucratic edict, all the outer walls in the city are white and all roofs are red. There is no limitation on architectural style, however, and buildings of all shapes and sizes are found. While the city lacks the scenic impressiveness of Argrany and Flèches Bronze, it makes up for this in sheer content. Caranbar is cosmopolitical in every sense of the word, and a visit there is not soon forgotten, for better or worse.
