King Farnol IV the Lost (Status 7)
(6540-89)

Presumed dead since his fateful hunting expedition in the County of Moize in 6582, King Farnol was slain by two young knights errant of the Bois-Alsante family.

King Farnol IV is remembered as a tall, well-muscled man in his 40s, with a full head of greying hair, pug-nosed and strong-jawed.

After his disappearance, Farnol IV's rule has been increasingly idealized, as a golden time before the rules of the Arch-Duke and the Arch-Bishop. Those sufficiently old and cynical recall him as a fair king, valiant, tenacious and easy-going, but somewhat simplistic.

Regent Luinpos of Lambure (Status 7)
(Archbishop by the grace of Jupiter, Warden of His Royal Highness the Dauphin, Lord High Chaplain of the Royal Family)
Considered the most powerful man in Avation. Apart from his power as Regent and the highest sacral authority of Avation, he also has sizable land holdings, and great influence on his brother, the Duke of Lambure.

His Royal Highness the Dauphin Tarlain of Avation (Status 7)
Although only 12 years old, the Dauphin will come of age at the age of 16, and ascend the throne. For the last six years, he has been raised by the Regent.

Arch-Duke Tauron of Corguin (Status 7)
The Arch-Duke is both intelligent and physically powerful, with large holdings in the south of Avation. He has spent a sizable portion of his life as a military officer. Howev er, in his travels abroad, he became a follower of the creed of Terminus (Marduk), and is therefore seen as a heretic, a violator of the existing social order, and a potential dupe of foreign powers. The Arch-Duke holds the southern duchy, Corguin, in an iron grip.

King-Mother Barbara of Avation (Status 6)
The mother of both the lost King, his brother the Archduke and their sister Lucia (who has married a dukeling from the Confederacy of Sorcerors), grandmother of Prince Tarlain. She takes little part in politics anymore.

Duke Simon of Lambure, Lord High Marshall of Avation (Status 6)
Duke Simon was made the supreme commander of Avation's army by his brother, the Regent. He is a steadfast supporter of the regent. The Duke controls the north-eastern duchy, Lambure.

Duke Theseon of Cobelle (Status 6)
Theseon is an old and apathic man, who rarely leaves his castle on the western coast. Theseon is lord of the north-western duchy, Cobelle, in name only. Most of his vassals support the Regent.
