The Perceurs-des-Boeufs (The Piercers of Bulls) are mainly lancers, with some demilancers thrown in by circumstance and allegiance. It is a small squadron, with 70 knights spread on five lances.
One lance is under the command of Banneret Balthazar Barberouge de Tecarate-Sanglant. Apart from his convoy it includes Sieur Bespin, a ruddy and boisterous knight in his mid-twenties, whom recently lost his destrier.
The squadron is led by Banneret Hervis Bruyant Fizguinemant de Perceur, a genial man in his 40s, with remarkably little fat on his frame. He is mostly bald, and keeps his remaining hair and his beard trimmed short. The summer sun has left him lightly tanned.
