Orsire is the northmost baillage of Cobelle, and borders on Dorannia.
The county is mostly rural, with a few townships, none of which merit particular attention.
Orsire is very humid, though less so than its southern neighbour, Les Champs-Verdants. The Great Forest extends well into the lowlands here.
Orsire has historically been a part of Dorannia, and is a recent acquisition for the Crown. two thirds of the people here speak only Dorish, a sixth is bilingual, and a sixth speaks only Frankish
.
Technically, Orsire has no brigand problem. The Count maintains a surprisingly large army (considering the size of his holdings) and is quick to bring into line any Dorish raiders. However, he is also quite likely to permit raiders to enter into his service rather than massacre them, and is quite lenient with his troops and their treatment of the civilians whom are tasked with giving them room and board.
Count Robert Brantome de Osire is known to respond extremely poorly to perceived slights, particularily any referring to the Dorish part of his heritage, or any involving a failure to pay him his dues. The count is relativley short and stocky, pale-skinned with ginger hair and a tendency towards freckles.
