The Marquisate of Millex

The Marquisate's northern border is the Amnade range, separating it from Dorannia. From the Amnades, the land slopes southwards to the coast. The northern part is broken and hilly, cut by rivers running in deep gullies. The south is quite flat, good farmland abeit a little sandy.

The Marquisate of Millex lies in the northeast of Avation, but is still one of the vassals of Corguin.

Having in excess of 400 000 inhabitants, the marquisate is still not very densely populated.

The urban sprawl of Millex accounts for 11000 of these people.

Millex is full of transients, mercenaries from the east heading for Dorannia, and a small trickle of refugees flowing out. The Confederation of Sorcerers also seems to have taken a special interest in the land, their outlandish robes and hats are a common sight in Millex's towns. The Marquis lets things flow, whether this is due to disinterest or weakness, no-one can tell.

Marquis Peter of Millex is a radical and independent figure, paying heed neither to Jovian tradition nor the new dogma of the Arch-Duke. The Marquis is the vassal most critical of the Arch-Duke's policies, having the benefit of a long distance between his fief and Eloreville.
