Around hill, encircled on three sides by the Gronne river, Goblinghost hill is one of the most defensible positions in the Naras valley. However it is considered to be haunted by the spirits of goblins, and has therefore been left untenanted since the Cargans defeated its original inhabitants, some six centuries ago. There are still some broken stone pillars and piles of rubble left of the goblin fortification, all overgrown.There is also a legend that treasure is buried underneath Goblinghost Bluff.
