Baronet François de Bois-Alsante: François is a well-built knight, two inches taller than the average man. His most distinguishing feature is that he has but a single eye. Baronet François is known for his conservatism, his valour and his great faith in Terminus. He has proven himself a gifted public speaker. Baronet François has proven his mettle repeatedly on the battlefield, though it has cost him an eye. He has shown his valour in battle with cultists, with trolls and goblins, and in duels with Baronet Yanitol de Montcuivre (thrice) and with Sir Hubert de Trecore-Champs-Bluet, as well as in a tourney to clear himself of accusations of dishonour. He courts the Comtette Columbina de Naras, whom was formerly courted by Baronet Yanitol. It has been speculated that he has a natural inclination to be injured (see Natural Philosophy)

Knight-Lieutenant Patric de Valsangé: A fit and well-proportioned man. A bit swarthy, with dark hair, thick eyebrows and deep-set eyes. He is second in command of the Cavaliers of Dawn, a company of light cavalry. Very much a career soldier, he silence is sometimes broken by a sarcastic quip. He is haunted by guilt for having led half his command into slaughter in a goblin ambush, but has later proved himself a quite capable commander, defeating both goblins and treasonous humans, and performing capably in the tourney.
