The convoy of Barberouge consists of Banneret Balthazar Barberouge de Tecarate-Sanglant, his squire Sieur Jean-Patric, and his former knight-bachelor Jerome d'Ours-de-Fer.
The convoy forms the core of a lance of the Squadron of Perceurs-des-Boeufs.
Banneret Balthazar, Third Banneret of Barberouge-Tecarate-Sanglant (age 40)
A large burly man with a full, red beard. A man of honour, gentility and charisma.
Howerver, much like other Tecarates, he is proud and quick to take offense. He was a manorial knight, but has lost both his land and his family. It is said that he lost his mind as well.
Sieur Balthazar may have lost his mind, but his virtue is still strong within him, and in light of his stature, social and spiritual, he has been given command of a lance of the squadron.

Sieur Jerome (age 37)
A veteran; A scarred grognard who speaks obsessively of combat and weaponry when he is not complaining. A stubborn and willstrong man, whom remains levelheaded even in the heat of battle. Gruff and unpleasant at most times.
A decade of warfare left him little richer than when he was given his spurs, and with no land to support a family, he had little choice to remain a knight bachelor, serving in the household of another. For years, he served in the household of Sieur Balthazar until he also found himself bereft of lands and family.

Squire Jean Patric des Perceurs
A handsome, soft-looking and smashingly dressed young dandy, with silken blond hair, about 20 years of age. Jean Patric is well-trained but not particularily muscled, and has shown little battlelust.
Jean Patric is rather more at home at court, particularily in the tennis court. He has some academic training, as it was the family ambition for him to become a priest or high official. However, when his eldest brother died, Jean Patric was sent into knightly training.
Jean Patric is the squire of Sieur Balthazar, and thus technically of his convoy, but his number of retainers is greater, and his well-lined coffers practically support his warden. Jean Patric was squired off to Balthazar because Balthazar's wife is his cousin.

Sieur Miquondor de Coeur-de-Grand-Corbeau
An dark-haired, olive-skinned knight from Giquella, he is slightly shorter than his Avatine brethern, but of equally powerful build. He has a close-cropped full beard, and hair of knightly length. A white scar runs down his right cheek from temple to jaw. Quiet and somewhat melancholy, the Giquellan knight rarely speaks but watches all. He himself is watched by a black raven.
Sieur Miquondor's full plate harness suggests a background of wealth. He fights with war pick, lance and crossbow.

Sieur Ethelmant de Souffle-de-Dragon
Sieur Ethelman is rounder of shoulder and slimmer of thigh than most knights. He has a keen intellect, but poor social graces.
Sieur Ethelmant seems to have spent most of his wealth on his peculiar closed wagon and its contents. He wears reinforced maille, and his favoured weapon is one of Ymirea's first matchlock guns, his own invention.
