Avatine Civil War

"I know that you have suffered, lad,
But suffer this awhile:

Whatever makes a soldier sad
Will make a killer smile."

"I'm leaving, Captain, I must go
There's blood upon your hand
But tell me, Captain, if you know
Of a decent place to stand."

"There is no decent place to stand
In a massacre;
But if a woman take your hand
Go and stand with her."

Avation and the campaign has entered a new era, as the civil war, feared for years (game time and real time) has erupted. Arch-Bishop against Archduke, the bloody tide is loosed.

"Open war is upon you, whether you would risk it or not."

In terms of content, I aim for about equal portions of diplomacy and planning, general roleplaying and storytelling, and dice-rolling combat.

In terms of pacing, I hope and expect game time will move much faster in this campaign than in the former. An acceptable minimum is 2005 moving more or less apace with 6589-6590, but depending on the characters act, I can envision several years of game time passing in 2005. Much of this time can be expected to pass in sieges, whether the player characters are besiegers or besieged. Winters will also be treated as passive periods, unless pressing circumstances indicate otherwise.
